Where'd it go...and what happened?

Post by canyncarvr »

Yeah. I looked. Didn't find it (obviously.... 'cuz I'm asking).

The rider that had a shop 'rebuild' something or other on his KDX..it came back with the pin missing in the KIPS governor shaft housing? The shaft moved up and down 'cuz the pin didn't do its retaining job?

Did that ever get taken care of?

:hmm:

thanks.

Hey CC - been traveling and not on the board at all recently. The moral of the story is... raced it two weeks ago after getting the pin and screw back in and no problems have shown themselves. When I drained the tranny fluid, no metal was found.

Crossing my fingers on this one that nothing internal is messed up. Thanks for all the help.

So...you beat the guy that left it out severly about the head and shoulders? Or just pounded on the soles of his feet with a stick?

It WAS someone else...right?

Glad to hear it worked out well!

CC,

The dealer said that he would make it right if I found anything when I pulled the side cover. I will do that in the next few weeks when I have the time. When that statement was mentioned to another "customer" he said, that was unbeliveable. Well, we will see. So far, I just think I have been extremely lucky.

Will let you know what happens when the cover comes off.
