They make nice bikes...I'm sure that hybrid will be first class...and pricey!

What exactly are the advantages? I have seen a steel frame and aluminum frame weighed side by side and for the aluminum frame to have the same strength, allot more material has to be present and they end up being about the same weight....

I may be wrong but I think it has to do with how the frame flexes in curves and what not. If it's anything like a mountain bike it makes a big difference what matterial htey use. I'm looking forward to seeing the first motorbike to come out with a carbon fiber frame.

Frame flex- as noted. For a KDX woods type bike.... I don't really know. The biggest advantage I can see would be (hopefully!) top-notch suspension.
It'll be price, though, I'm sure.
FWIW I'm still riding my KX144 and I picked up an off-road-ifed YZ250 recently that's very fun and very well done (.ie 11 oz FWW, etc).

A lot of people say a steel frame is better for the woods.
I don't know if that is true or not.
I do know my aluminum framed CR/KDX hybrid has very touchy suspension. When it is right it is RIGHT, when it is off just a bit, it feels like cr@p. The above mentioned people would probably say that is because the frame is too stiff and unforgiving. Who knows.
I'm sure Service Honda would build a fine hybrid. Intersting that they would choose the KDX engine. Just goes to show that it really is a good motor.

Great to see people keeping the two-strokes alive. The so called 'old' technology (engines) coupled with new to make great bikes.
Good to hear that their company is very very busy.
KTM can't build the two-strokes quick enough.
Check out the 380 KTM produces.
Now how can you say that doesn't look like good old fun?

380 has to be a wild bike...Reportedely best of a 250 and 500. Not made anymore.
