That would have been back when I was growing up down in the hills. Miles and miles of dirt roads, now all paved. Bummer. :sad:

It's a BLAST on logging roads!

550lbs is barely noticeable as long as you keep your feet on the pegs :supz:

wow mr. wibbens,

that is a LOT of weight!!

still nimble? no WAY i could handle that machine. i have laid down my 200/220's (i have 5 or 6) perhaps... 5 out of the last 5 rides!!! :prayer:

but that is nasty nebraska bugeater trails. i call it urban-cross (i live in the *big city*, if you dare call it that) and ramp off of car tires and abandoned dressers and such. if lucky, a stolen car. :supz:

that is a BIG bike for the super tight trails i ride!

how is the power to weight ratio? hits hard??
1999 KDX240 big bore street legal, 2008 KLX300R, 2002 XR250R stock, 1985 XL600R stock, 2001 KDX220 bone stock street legal, 1988 VN750 dresser, 1975 RD350 stock, 1983 GL650I Sliverwing Interstate with sidecar, 1975 Kawasaki F11 (early KDX!), about 15 other bikes that come and go!

Now that's a sight. Usually see those bikes shining new and parked outside Starbucks.

Respect on riding heavy off the tarmac.

Had my Varadero 1000 off the beaten track the other day. The old KDX never felt so light afterwards.

The other day I was riding down a slimy clay, rutted out jeep road...

Before I knew what happ'd the bike was laying on it's right side

Me? I was still on the pegs! Luckily never had time to put a foot down
