200/220 parts question

bought another bike, '00 kdx200  (that makes 4)

anyways, i want to take the motor off the '00 220, and put it in the frame of the '00 200, as the 200 is a super clean and nice bike.

question: what is different on the 2 bikes? seems the carb, jug, and piston are different, anything else i am missing? are expansion chambers pretty much the same? suspension spring rate the same?

thanks in advance!!

You are correct on all counts. 220 came w/ oring chain. It's arguable that you should just keep the 200 as-is though. Since you have both it seems you like the 220 better though.

yeah right, i remember reading that the 220 had an oring chain. thanks for the reply!

well, i am gonna keep the '04 200, that's a nice bike. i LOVE the 220, but the frame is not as nice as the '00 200, the 200 looks really good, has great new plastics too. want to combine all of the best parts into one great bike.

would like to keep the '89 200 too, but i am really out of room. hafta sell some bikes soon, the weather here is about to warm.

my boy said he counted 14 bikes, and i just bought 6 more...

selling some, parting some on ebay. keeps me out of trouble!

i will try and post some pics later!

thanks, fuzzy!

I wouldn't mind picking up a good 220 or 200 motor with intake boot, carb, airbox, and all electrical components.

I think it's time for another hybrid. YZ125 frame/kdx motor?
