Hi, is it possible to use OEM spokes and nipples with a rear excel rim ? Excel told that I have to use excel spokes and nipples but I just want to make sure I will not buy new spokes and nipples if it's not necessary.

Unless your current rims/spokes are brand spankin new it would be silly to put used OEM spokes in nice freshy new exel rims.

I do believe I'd read that the exels lace up a bit different, so perhaps the stock spokes are not the correct lengths. I don't know for sure though...

I know I didn't re-use my old spokes and you probably won't be able to either simply because you won't be able to unscrew the nipples.

But you also don't need to use Excel spokes either. I used a heavy duty spoke kit from White Brothers.
