Hi all,
This winter I need to get to the transmission, because of the "shifting problem" I already posted about..

I watched this video, part 1,2,3

And now I wonder if I really need all the special tools they recommend.. ?

Case splitter tool
crank puller/installer
Flywheel puller
clutch hub holder / flywheel holder
Etc...

Yup, unless you want to be a hack and try prying it all apart with screwdrivers and then ruin your cases. Read my reviews of most of those tools in the Product Reviews section. I bought all those things and wouldn't want to try it again without them. Not sure about the KDX, but on the YZ I needed a couple pieces of steel bar stock to get the crank install tool to work on one side, since the case flange there is kinda weird.
