110/100-18 too big?

Post by dejovi22 »

I just got a good deal on a Kenda 110/100-18 but my only concern is that this size is a bit bigger that the standard 100/100-18 that comes on the KDX.

Is the bigger tire a bad thing?
Has anyone tried this size before? Opinions?

Tks,

I've used dunlop 110/100's with absolutely no problems. If the tire has really tall knobs and you find that you get a little head-shake, just lower the forks in the triples some.

I have a Kenda Millville of the same size on my '01 KDX 200 and it fits fine.

You'll get great hookup with the bigger tire

I have the Kenda Millville of that size on my bike too with no problems. The Millville isn't lasting very well but that is another issue.

Ok then. I was afraid of additional weight would change the handling of the bike; another concern was the turning of the bike being slower.

110/100 is all I use, its a good size not too wide not too skinny. Dunlop D756 is what I like for the rear and Front Pirelli mxms scorpion
