On the studs on the top of the cylinder there are threads on both ends. One end has longer threads than the other. Which end of the studs goes into the cylinder? The parts diagram makes it look like the short threads go into the cylinder.
I got my cylinder back from PowerSeal USA. Everything looked great. It looked like a new cylinder. It was $172 for the plate/hone and an extra $50 to weld the wear spot. They said they could make it to factory specs instead of me sending a piston. I told them I would be using a standard Wiseco piston. Hopefully it all will work correctly.

Not sure about this...but I believe if the studs are put in upside down there isn't enough thread exposed to tighten the head? So...the long end in the cylinder would leave the short threads sticking up..and sticking up a good bit.
What 'wear spot' was welded? The place above your exhaust port you mentioned? That had to be welded?

I'm by no means an expert on what would and wouldn't have to be welded, but the wear above and below the exhaust port had started to wear away at the softer aluminum underneath. I could definately feel it dip back into the aluminum. It appeared that they did actually weld it because I can see where they did some grinding inside the exhaust outlet to smooth things back up before plating...or that's atleast what I think they did. I'll see if I can snap a couple pics (if there are any good batteries in this house).

I've never heard of that being an issue, though.

Wondering...what are you using for the 'packing' on the RH subport drum activation rod?
The OEM rod did have some kind'a fibrous 'packing' looking stuff. Order that part number now and you get an o-ring kind'a looking thing.
