KDX200 ever sell with inverted forks?

Post by Superwilly »

Hi, I'm looking at buying a '93 kdx200 - the owner thinks the forks are original, but they are inverted forks (a bluish color).

Did the KDX200 ever sell with inverted forks? I didn't think so? How about this link? http://justkdx.dirtrider.net/newtime.html - it states that the inverted fork was added to the E5?

Aren't all stock KDX's conventional forks, and that's why everyone does the KX conversion?

Any light on this would be great -thanks!

93 and 94 models were inverted in the sense that they are conventionals turned upside down. There is no advantage to them over the KDX conventionals of the era.

So... it's no big whoop!

E model constantly shears power nylon/plastic sump'n valve gears (unless you clean them all the time which I didn't) but has better low end. I used to hill climb sections easily with my E model, but always had problems making it with the current design. That changed, of course, when I got the uber-superiorist bestest one of all, the 220.
