I am thinking about replacing the slightly bent handlebars that came on my 220. Having never purchased HBs before could use some advice. I am 6' tall and am not a particularly aggressive rider. Primarily desert and trails. Suggestions on width, rise etc? Thanks.

I don't know for the Desert... but for the trails (and singletracks), I realy like my Renthal FatBar Enduro.

Less wider, more heigher, perfect for trail riding;)

You can always cut them down any size you want

29" is good for tight stuff

I run Pro Taper with CR High Bend, trimmed 1" off each side. We don't have any desserts in TN, but they work good in the woods.

Renthals are good bars also. Don't skimp on bars, the cheap ones usually cost ya more in the long run!

Thanks for the info. I will start my research and maybe get lucky on a good priced set. Heck maybe I'll go really custom and get a set of "Ape Hangers"

Just remember that if you put bark busters on your bars that they will be wider. If you cut to 29" and put on bark busters that are 1/2" wide your bars are now at 30" with the extra 1/2" on each side.

I'm now running mini bars I think. They are tall, like the CR talls but the bend to make them tall happens sooner and is steeper. That gives you more bar to mount things too. Meaning; the area between the end of the bar where the bark buster is to the bend where it goes down to the clamps is longer than a regular bike that get cut to 29". If you mount lots of stuff on your bars, it's real helpful.

Does that Mini Bar cause any issues with Bark Busters and how they fit?
