Carrying Extra Gas
Anybody have some good (safe!) methods for carrying extra gas? I've been hitting reserve after about 5 to 6 hours of riding the last 3 rides and still quite a ways from the trucks. I've been lucky so far but I don't want to push it. Most of the guys I ride with carry extra gas in their packs in a variety of containers (none designed for fuel!) but I'm not too keen on storing fuel on my person for obvious reasons. I may just try to find a larger capacity tank but would like to avoid that expendature if possible. Thanks for any input!

IMS or clarke tank (clarke looks much better than the IMS imho)
Some use pop bottles, or other "stash" fuel on the trail in advance.

I carry 2 of the 22oz units but use my vacuum sealer on them first. The sealer puts them in a plastic bag, sucks all the air out, then seals it. Used for food usually, but works for maps, matches, etc...ChiroKDX wrote:This is what I use and so far no leaking.
