Steering Stop

Post by N8Strine »

Here is a picture of my steering stop, it is slotted to fit over the old tab and has a screw down the center.

Very nice.

What did you use to put the slot in it? Are you one of those guys that has access to a machine shop.

What diameter USDs? Or..what year?

How much was 'added' to the original tang?

I should do something like that. My '99 forks do touch the tank. Not enough (I think) to hurt, but I'd rather they didn't touch at all.

There's a LOT of force against that piece. Is there force against the allen? ...or against the existing frame stop?

Looks nice!

They are 48mm off an 04 kx 250.

Nope the allen just holds it from sliding off even tho its wont come off of there with the screw out, I had to pound that thing on there cause the slot I milled wasnt quite wide enough. So all the force is on the tab itself. '

Thanx
