KDXRIDER.NET

I bought a 2001 KX250 on Ebay a few weeks ago and after getting it home I noticed that the engine was not an 01 but was an earlier model kawasaki. I am not sure if its an early 90s KDX or an late 80s KX, the serial number on the engine case is DX250DE007971, local dealer did not know what motor this was. I would appreciate any help....thanks

It is a KDX 250 early 90s is when they made them, sorry.

I'd be very pissed off. The 2001 KX250 motor and ignition system are much more than that old KDX250 motor ever thought of producing. Hope you are able to get that resolved.

Not that there is anything wrong with a KDX250 but if you paid for an 01 I would be pissed also. I hope you didn't lose a bunch of cash.
