UFO PLASTIC!! Question

Post by N8Strine »

Here is a pic of the UFO side panels I bought, I do not like the two rubber rivets in there showing on the outside. Are all UFO side panels like this?

Not made by the same folks... Order OEM if that's what you want.

I also ordered side panels from UFO and was surprised by the two rubber things. I put number plate stickers on mine so they are not visible.

If that's a photo of your stock one, it looks fine; just put a background decal on it like jc did on his. They come in colors. If you do opt to buy replacements, cover them with the backgrounds and they'll stay nicer for longer as well.

Yeah, stop worrying about looks, it is ridiculous.

Now, JC did you cut your own backgrounds or did they come form fitting for the panels?

I got mine direct from UFO

http://www.ufoplasticusa.com/

I did find out that some of their part numbers are wrong, on the fork guards anyway. Other than that it was a quick and easy transactions. They will have all the pieces for the KDX that the mail order shops don't stock.

Pretty loose, huh. I use about one notch on the snail every ride weekend. Is this typical for everyone else? Mine is a standard chain BTW (non o-ring).

Be sure to run a solid brand chain, such as DID or Regina or others, becuase a well made standard chain will last plenty long if taken care of. What brand is that chain? One notch per weekend sounds like it will be done soon!
