91-94 KDX 250

Post by tcat992 »

Hey Guys
Im new to the site, saw it mentioned on Canadian Daves so thought id check it out. Was disappointed to find theres no section on 91-94 KDX 250s. Dont know if its blasphemy to say that on 200-220 site but ?
Does anyone know of a site dedicated to that bike or at least have a forum on it. Ive never rode a 200 or 220 but i love my 250. Thanks in advance :supz:

The 250 is somewhat of a hybrid. Most of the engine and bottom end comes from a late 80s KX. Mine even has 88KX250 on the case. Most of what people talk about here is related to the 200s and 220s but it is mostly general Kawasaki shop talk KIPS, motors, and what works best. Ma Kawi made things pretty standard in like tear downs and changing seals and bearings.

Just get the manual and if you have any questions this place will lead you in the right direction. You will find alot more KX parts fit the engine and it is somewhat harder to find info on it but remember that it is a split b/w KDX and KX. Just alot heavier than both, possibly combined.

I have a 94' KDX 250. It's a great bike ,
I love it.Kind of a mixture of bikes.
The biggest problem is the forks are way too soft.
But the power is nice and smooth, and plenty of it..
