What's my bike worth?

Post by T-TRAIN »

I'm selling my 2000 KDX 200. I have no idea what to ask for it. I'm looking for a "ball park" asking price. Some of the major modifications on this bike are as follows:

- Complete 1999 KX 250 Front End
- EFM Auto Clutch
- FMF Gnarly Woods/Turbine Core II Exhaust
- Tall Seat
- IMS Pro Series Foot Pegs
- 13/50 Gearing
- All the Armor (skid plate, bark busters, radiator guards)

This bike is a great runner and is in good condition.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Unfortunately resale value is generally poor. I've seen totally tricked out ones (including USD's and a scotts) go as low as $1500. Add your auto-clutch to that list for $2-2500 maybe?

You could alsways sell the aftermarket parts separately. Wanna sell the EFM?

I put my '05 KDX on the market a while back before deciding to not sell it. I could have gotten about $2300 out of it. Most people who called were more interested in it because at that time it was totally stock. I guess some people equate a stock bike with one that has had very little use.

I sold mine for $1500. It did not have the EFM clutch, but was otherwise similarily equipped. It had been ridden hard and was pretty banged up looking, but ran well. It also went with a spare complete rolling chassis.

I felt like I made out O.K. It was an '02 and did not owe me a dime!
