Clutch lever with roller bearing? Anyone use one?
I mysteriously bent my clutch lever yesterday. Oh well, I didnt like that one anyway.
I wondered if having one with the roller bearing would make clutch pull super smooth. Not that my clutch is hard to pull, but I found the Fly model for less than $20 and thought I might give it a try.
Anyone use one before?
BTW, 100 miles this weekend in tight woods on Saturday, and desert on Sunday. RB mods performed great in both situations. Can lug better than before and now it has mid and top end. Awesome!

If none (friction) would be good then less is certainly better.
Whether it's better enough to matter is something else.
Considering that the other end of the assembly is a rotating flat piece of metal pushing on another piece of flat metal under considerable pressure, it's not exactly a friction free device.
I've not found hydraulic clutches to be much 'easier'..and there is practically no friction involved in one'a them. That doesn't make 'em 'easy'.
My clutch lever has been broken for years. I got tired of replacing them when they broke..so I gave up doing it. The 'lil stubby is still hanging in there!!

Levers and perches should always be a matched set....until some other mix-n-match is proven to your satisfaction.

Will this do?
From RockyMtn.
DO read the reviews. It's not real popular. As with most things MSR/Moose..they aren't too well made. That's my experience with their stuff anyway.
RockyMtn wrote:Allows you to choose 3 positions according to your clutch pull and riding style: Easy Pull, Medium Easy Pull, Light Easy Pull .
Cable adjuster is an anodized pivoting regulator, easy to adjust and reduces cable drag in all positions.
Vulcanized, exclusive silicon rubber grip for improved control in all weather conditions.
Needle bearing in lever.
Available as a standard size or shorty lever.
Motorcycle only.

Good call on the review CC, don't think I will get it from them, sounds a bit shaddy workmanship

I've seen similar lever/perches that are considerably (4X) more expensive. I think the one noted is a knock-off of that piece.
Check this.
The review was written in '05..but posts are there to late last year.
I think ASV was the piece I was thinking of. Last I saw one (years back..and not from a 'cheap' place) it was pushing $200.
The price noted in the link above should be considerably more than one without a compression release.
...didn't look for a dealer or check availability now.

For those prices, just add the hydraulic clutch. You could also put 1/2 down on a autoclutch.
The hydraulic clutch I had on my KTM's was very nice. But, the KDX is very smooth in stock form. I just added long levers and put the perch in toward the middle so the end of the lever in near the middle of my grip. Easy pull with one finger now.

An aside on brakes...but not all Magura juicers are mineral oil. Ski knows where to get DOT 3/4 setups.

Canycarvr, that ASV clutch lever you posted a link to isn't that same as the Moose lever is it? The Moose lever had three different positions to attach the cable and make the pull easier. I don't think ASV makes anything like this. I called them last year and they said they were planning on making something like that but so far they haven't. I wish they would because all of the Moose and MSR reduced effort levers are crap and break every time you touch them. The lever isn't so bad, it is the cheap perch that is made out of pot metal.
