Good deals

Post by skipro3 »

I won this front wheel off eBay. Seems like a good deal. Guess I'll always have a hot-standby spare now.

What are some of the good deals other riders have found?

A good deal? I won a set of Race Tech Gold Valves (for my YZ USD forks) for < $40 (a bit more for shipping if I remember right). I kept seeing Gold Valves on ebay and figured out the part number I needed. Some sellers don't do a very good job of describing what they have and they end up not getting the value of the part(s).

BTW I installed them and they're GREAT!! I'd pay retail for them honestly.

Bought a FMF Powercore silencer off Ebababay from fellow member PLB. Didn't know he was on here before winning it. A little elbow grease and I had it looking nice and shiney. Works good for me cause they don't require sparkys around here, not even at racing events.

Got a pair of riding MSR pants at Cycle Gear for $19.

Got an entire front end off a 2003 KX for about $250. Already sold the KDX wheel for $50. Need to sell the other KDX parts to get my cost down.

Won an Endurance computer for about $20.

Not dirt bike related but won a $1500 stainless, sanitary fitting, cartridge filter housing for $100. Will use it for making wine.

I've also occasionally gotten lucky by searching mis-spelled words.

The entire KDX 200/250 manual for 91-94 for $15 on disk so I could make several copies and print out the pages I need w/o worrying about smudging the pages. Came with all the addendums included.
