moving bars forward?

Is there anyway to move bars forward? other than turning clamps around,or rolling the bars in the clamps,,

at the moment I have fat bars with adaptors/raisers so I can bolt onto standard clamps, but want to move my bars further forward.

and doing the kx front end isnt really a option for me as its too expensive. (I know you guys do it cheap in the US,but no one parts bikes out,so we very really have any cheap front ends around  )

thanks Alistair

blimpman, I was looking those for my dual-sport. How do you like them? Are they stable enough?

I love them! Rock Solid. I am putting a set on my KLR650. You can adjust them any way you want. Highly reccommended.

Do they move when you crash?

Not yet... Even if they did it would only move a couple inches forward or back... They mount really solid...

I have no picture at the moment, but I have a set of risers from Thumper Racing thatmove that move the bars up and forwadr bolting onto the lower half of the existing mounts. They move forward probably and inch and a half.

These things are the best ever.Unfortunately, I cant find them on their web site anymore. Maybe shoot them an email. I would love to have another set.

Trust me these are just what you are looking for

if i can find a set for sale in NZ(or someone who will order them) i might try them..

how would they hold up on the rubber mounted bars though?
(we replaced the rubber on our bikes with tufinol, the stuff used for car suspention bushes, dad made them)

Those look like exactly what I have, except not for the fat bars. Mine are just for the 7/8 but appear to mount exactly the same.

These were absolutely the best addition ever to both my kdx and my DR350, both of which are way cramped in the cockpit.

I have been running mine with the stock rubber mounts for two years of heavy use, they are not showing signs of wearing yet.

You may wish to change to a lower bar bend after this addition, you will be up way high with a bend much higher than stock or stock KX.

Let us know how it works out

I don't get it. Look like a nice set of low-boys to me. Something happened?
