1991 KDX 250 rear fender

I am looking to replace the rear fender on my bike. It has an acerbis mx style fender on it which I thought was a universal type so I ordered universal front and rear replacements but the rear wont work. I have found searchig here info on the newer kdx bikes and where to get a rear fender with a taillight but I would like to just replace it with an mx style one. Will one from a kx250 work? Also I have read on here a kx 500 seat cover will work but I havent found out what year I need to get. Will a kx500 rear fender work?
