Ray kit features a 12V/35W light
Ray Halogen kit has a super-bright 12V, 60/55W light
Do you want the normal Ray or the Halogen? From reading this forum, the KDX can only handle up to like 40 watts stock. So if you stick with the normal Ray you should be fine.

Yes, you will be fine. I have an Acerbis DHH (twins) on mine. It has 35 watt/55 watt bulbs. I hooked up to the 35 watt and it's nice and bright. It won't power the 55watt.

I just noticed that the halogen version of that light claims a 55w bulb but the UFO halogen bulb replacement claims 35w. It appears to be the same bulb that is used in the twins headlight which we know to be 35w.
Do you all think that this single halogen Ray headlight is actually 35w? I need to do some more research.

You can buy LED rear bulbs at Auto Zone for about 5 bucks.
I think it is a 1156 0r 1157 LED

I've purchased a couple of the 1156L units from Schucks. They couldn't handle the vibration...ended up in teeny liddle peaces after a couple of rides.
Others have had better luck.
Consider an RV marker light...the type you would have to surface mount to either the fender or the lense. They're potted...won't be coming apart.
I've got one'a those. Have had for a good long time...just haven't put it on, yet!

I have the ray halogen on my DRZ and once I put a silverstar bulb in it, it was great. I liked how adjustable it was so I was able to get it to shine right where I wanted it.
