Now Adding Legal Tailight on KDX

Post by AtomicKDX »

Does this taillight work/fit the stock KDX fender? My brake/tail light works, but now wishing to add this legal looking tailight w/ license plate.

Get a MX fender with it. Looks alot better IMO.

This is the one I use on my KDX with a MX fender. It is from BAJA Designs. Part number 600709

Thanks. Does the light run off the 12V from the KDX regulator? Or do you have to add other components like a rectifier?

Works fine with the stock setup.

Stock tail-light wires are what i used. The BD tail-light didn't fit real well on the stock fender so i installed the MX fender. Looks pretty good. The brake light switch that is used instead of the banjo bolt on the master cylinder was a bit of a pain to install because of bracket clearance.
