Thanks CM, that helps a lot. I had emailed the people at DiscountRamps and they said they didn't have a gas can rack for the Moto Carrier, but I think the holder you indicated could be made to fit it.

Thanks Vince! Now if I just knew the size of that Blitz gas can holder I would know if it could be attached to my carrier...

Cool! Man, that's the best deal going on a hitch carrier!

I havent figured out a place for a gas can yet either. It seems like you could attach that jeep one on the side of the rack in between the bumper ant the carrier if you put the loading ramp in the back of the suv. I dont trust the ramp bolts either.

I was thinking that the Blitz gas can holder could be mounted between the bike rail and tie down point if the holder were mounted to the center channel parallel to the bike rail. If I ever get over to Northern Tool to check one out, I'll let you know. Or maybe I should just order one...

I would think that one could easily make one out of flat bar stock for little of nothing.

With a welder? Sure. Oh wait...I don't have a welder.

I could probably cut four pieces of angle iron (for the lip) and bolt them to a piece of sheet metal, but that would require me to go get said pieces of metal, measure them, cut them, and drill them as needed, and purchase the hardware to assemble them.

Or, I could buy the gas can holder for $15 and save several steps. Hmmmm...

And have the satisfaction of doing it yourself.... Hmm...... :hmm:

Do what you will... just trying to help.

I do appreciate the help, and clearly I need it! If I had a welder I would definitely go that route.

"Satisfaction of doing it yourself" only applies if one can do it themselves. I remember when I tried to revalve my fork myself. There wasn't much satisfaction when I was cleaning up fork fluid off the garage floor...

And the links you provided on this topic were extremely helpful; if it weren't for that post, I wouldn't know that a gas can holder existed.

Thanks for the help!

I have a real shitty welder... I think I will try to fashion one myself...
