1996 rear rim and tire from a 200 bolt straight on to a 92 200? I know they have different part numbers but they appear exactly the same. Is there a size difference?

I would be inclined to say yes; however, most likely you will need to use the axle and spacers from your 92 on the 96 wheel. One way to check pretty quick might be to compare the rear sproket application for KDX's. Is the rear sproket the same for all KDXs from early 90's until now? If yes, you have big chances all this will work.

I'll check into that. Does anyone else have any opinions on the matter. My axle and spacers are fine. It's the rear hub that is shot.

I'd say to check bearing part #'s. If the bearings are the same, then the axle will work and it's just a matter of spacing.

PM Mr. Wibbens. He might know.

It's more than bearings when it comes to hubs. It's also a matter of brake rotor and sprocket configuration.

RockyMtn says the two bikes take the same Renthal rear sprocket.

Oops. RockyMtn says the brake rotors (EBC) are NOT the same part number.

Double check that yourself to be sure.

The pictures look the same!!!...and surely THAT is important!!
