IMS Footpeg Installation

Post by rdsrf »

I bought some IMS Super Stock footpegs for my 2000 KDX 220. They seem to fit into the frame with no problems but the stock spring doesn't fit at all. Anybody put these on thier KDX? Do I need to get some other springs or some IMS brand springs? I checked out thier website but I didn't see any springs on there. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You want to make sure you are putting the spring on the correct way. Try putting your old pegs back on. Then observe the way the spring is oriented and put the new peg on. Maybe that will get you going. Good luck!!

The IMS fits very well. I have a pair since 1 year.

I think skipro3 has the answer to your problem.

You have to bend the end that inserts into you pegs. I put the end of the spring into the vice and straightened it out. It then fits into the IMS peg and will return properly.
