Any known places that the resevoir tank leaks?
My overflow tank is leaking. But it only leaks (that i can tell) when the bike is running. I left fluid in it over night and it didn't drop at all. From what i can tell if i'm riding all day my overflow will go empty, but at the end of the day my radiator is still full, that tells me that i'm not leaking into the engine from the radiator right?
Any ideas?

First remove the coolant overflow tank.
Then shake it and check for leaks. Maybe this is the cap? Maybe one of the 2 mounting plastic brackets is cracked and let coolant drops.
You will never know until you try.
If this is ok and you don't see leaks , the problem is elsewhere.

Hi, sorry watching football today :)
Ok, this is the 2001 kdx220. I've had the bike 3 months, it just starting doing this, before it wouldn't lose an ounce.
I've done a top end and i was told perhaps the gaskets aren't holding well, but the tranny oil looks fine and like i said, not a drop is missing from the radiator...

i think i got it fixed.
I pulled the overflow tank as suggested and shook it. Coolant was moving out of the cap, so i replaced the cap with the one off my 90 and no more leaking. I think if the weather cooperates i'll go out for a ride tomorrow and see if it's fixed or not.
Thanks :)

The gasket in the rez cap isn't hard to get tweaked. Not hard to lose it, either.
Maybe yours is missing.
Gasket or no...as said, any ride will get coolant slopped out of the tank. If everything is 'good' (no cracks, gasket in place, NOT overheating unduly, etc.) it will still come out.
