Isn't that something?! I honestly do not understand how it is that as a reasonably intelligent species we, as a whole, are so incredibly stupid!! How is it seemingly such an impossible thing to learn from the past..to accrue knowledge?

IMHO: Far too much power has shifted to special interest groups, to the detriment of all members of society. Politicians looking for just a little bit of an edge have furthered that shift in power.

They sure got rid of Churchill FAST....just as soon as he was no longer necessary. I know of no finer mind than the one he possessed. His memoirs are a difficult read, but nothing short of brilliant.

Unfortunately, few would listen to him today....things just aren't BAD ENOUGH .......yet.

The CRAP we leave, for our young people to deal with.....
