The $500 cost of the HC-2 system gave me a heart attack.
Please advise on a model that give good resolution (mostly for posting).
My current regular vidcam is a mini-DV Canon Optura 40, so it's a little on the chunky side. I'd consider getting a smaller, flashcard model to plug into the helmet cam.
Here are some other models...

OK.... BUT.... This was taken on an XT225 on a National dual sport ride in Southern Ohio... Actually I bought the KDX so I could ride these events a little harder. I needed a bit more suspension. Don't laugh I was riding easy & saving energy here because I was warned about the second 25 mile section. My tape ran out just before I got my butt kicked. I rode some SCARY places that this bike had no business riding in. Most of the guys that rode this agreed it was a good "B" type enduro ride. Can't wait to ride my KDX in the next one.
It was a handful on an underpowered DS bike with DS tires.

Then there is this one... a relaxing, 100 mile ride thru the Ohio Countryside. I was on the 225 again and just enjoyed the scenery. It is long and boring but there are some nice country roads on this one.

Then there was another ride i went on with a bunch of friends. Alot of them had big dual sport bikes.
