SALIVATING @ the thought of head/carb mods for my 1997 kdx

Post by treelimb »

Salivating to have my head and possibly carb done R.Black style, I am wondering if their is an individual on the east coast, preferably in/around Georgia, that also does that type of magic? Or is R.Black the sole "man" regarding these type mods? Thanks

Ron's turn around time is so fast that you could possibly get it back before you send it in.

dont forget to purchase the extended finger grip air screw for your carb. Makes minor adjustments a breeze.

Wow what a range of replies.Kind of different but the same. Many thanks to all. BTW-I am in it for pump gas; it is expensive enough and i try to ride at least 100 miles a week. Those w/the race gas budgets are revered by those broke like me.
I am to get my bike back tommorrow from suspension set-up and service;previous owner had both ends revalved and this guy confirmed that for me.So I will wear myself out riding what should be a different bike and consult Ron Black regarding my next mod.
My aspirations are to smoke as many KTMs as possible-basically that is all I am up against being 46 years old like i am. I have held my own thus far but the next step is needing to be made.HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA and all done on a 10 year old bike.
I do have the Boyenson Rad Valve and Pro Circuit'ed exhaust;skid plated out other than rotor protectors and those are in the near future. We be on the way---------

KTM are not an issue where I ride... more of an annoyance if anything...

[quote="treelimb"] it is expensive enough and i try to ride at least 100 miles a week.quote]

Highland Park maybe...??

Yes I have been to Highland Park and even been a Ranger several times. The 100 miles are derived from all over here, there, and everywhere.have not been to HP in a couple months or so.
Regarding all the KTMs,that is about all they race.I was at RUNNINBRAND Nov.11,actually racing, and KTMs were everywhere. That orange color gets old after a while.
So foots-what part of Alabama are you located in? AANY good riding area there?

Wow what a range of replies.
I'm missing something? :hmm: They all say the same thing.

Others bore carbs. That's not all that comprises a RB finessed carb.

Others machine heads...and probably don't know squish about it.

There is one Ron Black style...and it is performed by Ron Black.

Buy a set of his SS bowl screws while you're at it. Less $$ than you could buy them yourself (he pretty much gives them away)..and a better design than you will likely find at your local hardware store.
