Replaced some parts...
Replaced my shift shaft which had stripped out completely. Pretty easy job if you take your time. Between it and the new shifter there is zero slop now in my shifting. Feels nice and tight and very responsive. Much nicer than it used to be. Also switched out my tweaked 7/8th inch Renthals for a set of Fat bars and at least from my lite riding around the yard i'm sold on Fat Bars. Seems like a great deal of the vibration that I used to feel in the bars is gone now. All in all a couple of much needed improvements.

Yeah, _everything_...Drain the coolant, pull the water pump, clutch and engine covers. PITA but not too hard over all.

M0rie - If you don't mind me asking what did ya' end up spending, total, when you went to the 1&1/8 bars? I was considering fabbing/installing a singe-tank subtank - a custom kind-of-thing, others have done it, where oil can drain back down into the forks. There's really not enough room with the 7/8 bars to do this so I was a 'wondering . . .

Not MOrie here but - There are simple bar risers available from Rocky Mountain for about 20 bucks that will raise your bars and give you enough access room so you can install a fittings on top of the fork legs. When I bought my clamps for the KX conversion I got 1 1/8th mounts in the deal. Ski gave me some adapters for my bark busters and the bars were Longhorn cheapies from Rocky Mountain MC ($30 on closeout).

Rocky Mountain bar risers: SMACK! (that's the palm of my hand hitting my forehead) I was pondering on those anyway for more bar height to suit aggressive riding stance a little better but they'll double as making more room.
