Proving the old man wrong
I didn't get air filter oil yet because I dont have have the $10 yet (yea CC I know I'm stupid for not having it ). I have been using my dads Yamalube to oil my filter but he says to use 10w30 instead. He knows alot about bikes but I think hes (more) wrong about this one because I'd rather have 2t oil rather then tranny oil in my cylinder. Which one do you guys think is better and could I just use the Yamalube cause it's free? Thanks

Either should be fine. But get some real filter oil when you get the money. Its worth it.

Is it dusty where you are riding? If so, then don't ride without the correct filter oil. "Dusting" an engine is not a good thing.
In a pinch, use the thickest oil possible. If you can find 50wt, use that. The thicker the oil, the more likely it will stay on the filter foam and not migrate into the carb.
someone send this poor kid a couple bucks so he can buy some filteroil fer cryin' out loud!!

Yeah I ordered this
http://www.rockymountainatv.com/product ... lyId=12286
It's all I need for filters. I prefer the spray but the word on the street is using a pour-on filter oil is a better was to oil... But I've never seized a motor yet :)
