OK, Well I know there is a jetting section, but I would rather ask than reading Vinces 48 pages of how-too's for now. Basicly, my 91 250 runs great. I was running 50/1 with tons of smoke and spooge. So, thought id try 40/1. Still tons of bla out the pipe. I would like to jet it for the 40/1 so i have a little more lube. Stock jetting calls for 165/42 and the needle in the 2nd notch. Right now, it is set at 162/40, needle the same. Any good first ideas? No i have not done a plug chop. Seems like every time i get to go riding, im pressed for time. Thanks, Rick.

You've got the answer right there, bro . . . plug chop will give you the visual evidence you need.

You and I both need 1/2 day of fiddling with premixes, chops, and jetting; the other half to ride.

Morie, I guess thats what the needle is. Thats what the book says, and I dont know alot about them.
