Hey that's really nice and at a good price.

The kidney belt and forearm guards are removable too. but...

Do you really need this much protection just trail riding? I was thinking more about enough protection for the way a 50 y/o guys rides out in the sticks and less about how I might ride MX and such were a crash is more likely to happen.

Then I read the article in Dirt Rider mag about the MX'er who has new respect for trail riders after spending the day with one of his buddies out on the trails...I guess there are far fewer trees, rocks and terrain hazards on an MX track!

Guess I answered my own question.

I noticed from reading the reviews of this jacket that it has some defect issues...something about the velcro and zippers...

What is nice about it is the added forearm and kidney protection for about the same price as some other higher dollar chest protection.

Things to think about.

I wonder about the zip thing...

Imagine...zipping UP such a zipper. It's not going to work nearly as well as a down....no support to zip 'against'.

Don't know that the zipper lock even exists, either. Some zips have them...some don't. Just because the zip tab hangs 'down' from the zipped part doesn't mean that if it hung 'down' from the UNzipped part it would lock.

Lot'sa folks don't know anything about zip locks in the first place!

In any case, get a decent (one that fits is good...not too small) chest protector. Upper arm and elbow protection is wise. I've made good use of mine more than a couple of times.

Yes, you did answer your own question, and the answer IS 'Yes!'

Hey, it's only the KDX220 that will grenade on you. And then, only if you don't swap out the piston. But that suit is "The Bomb" in my opinion.

I crack myself up!!

It's not the KDX I'm worried about! Ahahaha

Waz, I'm like you, near 50 and I am just waiting for, or :prayer: that THE crash never happens. But I think it will, sooner or later.

Other than "Virtual Trailriding" I'm looking at it as a small price to pay to keep "Actual Trailriding" :partyman:
