Need a new kick lever....

Post by Rick »

Hey guys, any idea where I can get a new kicker for a decent $? I can get one from Bike Bandit for $81 and From Ron Ayers for $70. Both OEM of course. Just wondering if you guys new of an aftermarket one that was inexpensive. Its for a 91 KDX 250. Thanks, Rick.

'Is the kickstart shaft for your 250 the same size as the kickstart shaft on Andy's 200? If your 250's shaft is smaller I may have one that could fit for now . . .

I bought a late-90's KX125 kickstarter whose hole is too tight for my shaft . . .

so if your shaft is smaller than Andy's, your's might fit where my shaft won't . . . uh . . . you get the picture

If I had a spare KDX 200 kicker... I'd send it to ya to see if it fit... a KX250 kicker may fit it!

Well, looking at the fish on BB, the 200 and the 250 have different kawi #'s, but look almost identical. If i had to guess, either the shaft size is different, or the arm itself is a little different, due to different expansion chamber design. Maybe I could persuade Andy to take his off for me so I could try it! Shew, small shaft, large shaft, take it off! I'm gettin all warm and fuzzy inside..... ps Inda, I think a kx one would work, if i could find one from 89-94.

I don't recall a KDX 200/220 pretty much anything fitting the 250.

Looks like Inda's nailed it.

Buy it!

It was a 1989 KX125 that worked perfectly on the KDX.

I think i remember seeing it on Canadian Daves, but I'll have to check that...

YUP, check it out under Tech Tips: http://www.dirtrider.net/justkdx/

I just now notice the original poster has a 250. Oops.
