Doing my Top End, What else do i need

Post by StickyTeflon »

Besides a piston kit and a top end gasket set and the online manual, what will i need to complete my top end?

I have tools, torque wrench, sockets, spanners.

What else?

And where do you guys buy your parts from?

Thanks,
Sean

Read through the "top end" portions of the online manual (two sections - tear down and reassembly). The manual shows the engine out of the frame but you won't need to do that.

Do a search and you'll find plenty of comments on doing top ends.

Clean your bike well, particularly around and above the cylinder.

Give yourself plenty of time and don't rush.
