is the #1 and #2 position on the cgk needle you speak of from the top or bottom?

Springs are worth around $20. The #1 clip position is at the top (blunt) end of the needle.

cool, i offered 20 bucks. :)

So this needle is really going to do something huh? Once the wife gets home to watch baby i will be in the garage tinkering :)

Ok, i went with a 152/42 combo and the cgk needle on the 2nd clip. Feels better, maybe not leaps and bounds better, but better. I think it has more rid range for sure.

Only thing, and this is only after .3 miles of riding in my neighborhood, i think i detected a little bit of a tendancy to not want to chug along at low low low rpms (just above idle). The air screw was 2 turns out. It's now 1 turn out.

We'll see...

Try moving it to the #1 clip and see how you like it. Might need to drop the pilot down a notch. Are you able to start the bike cold without using the choke?

I haven't tried that m0rie, but it's also like 80 degrees here, so i'm not sure what that would mean!

Drop the pilot down as in putting in a 40? It seems like it chugged better with the 45...

Again though, i know nothing about tuning, this just goes from my feel of .3 miles. I think i'll take it out for a day and really test it before i decide. I definitely like what the needle did though, thank you so much for that recommendation.

Enough tweaking! Take it for a ride or two and get a feel for how it is now. Then try dropping the needle to the #1 clip and see how it compares.

Ok went out today, it chugs along just fine, but i think down low 1/4 throttle to about 3/4 throttle i'm getting a little hesitation, must be the needle right? I'll switch it to the top clip.

I'm out on vacation now for the next week so i'll have to tinker when i get back.

turns out i had the clip at the first slot, not the 2nd. So i changed it from the top to the 2nd today and went out. Hmmm.. The bog seems to be gone, but there is a little less power. I think.

But, it is absolutely NIGHT and DAY from when i picked it up, the thing just flies.

Back to tuning this thing now.

I've lost a little up top. Have been running 152 main, 45 pilot, cgk on the 2nd clip.

Bike might be a bit tired now, but i think there's less then 25 hours on the wiseco. Having a lot of problems with spooge and smoke.

I'm thinking of moving to a 40p, 150m and keeping the cgk on the 2nd clip, what do you guys think?

I think that would be a pretty good shot at what it needs. I'd move to the 150m but start with a 42p and then move to a 40p if it needs it.

Has the bike been running good (and clean) and is all of a sudden starting to starting to drool and smoke? If that's a sudden change and it's not due to something like an abrupt change in the weather, altitude you ride, etc. then you may have a mechanical issue.

So i put in a 152 that i had lying around and the bike just doesn't really pull up top like i want it to and like i know it can. I'll pickup a 150 this week and see how it works out.

Also put in a 42p and it seems to start well, smoke less and work nicely with that CGK needle in the 2nd clip.

I haven't been riding it much, i have the ktm and before that had a 01 220. It could just be I'm use to the power of the other two machines, I just want to poke around and make sure it's running at peak.
