Rear Brake Help ?

Post by beeds3000 »

I wasn't getting all the normal brake response/power out of my rear brake so I decided to loosen the bleeder nipple on the rear brake caliper and try leeding the line a little, well that is where it got worse, Now I can't get any rear brake at all the brake pad won't move any and the bleeder nipple is tightly closed, and there is plenty of brake fluid in the resivoir. My question is what did I do wrong I know how to bleed brakes on a car I did it the same way??? I just don't think there is any oil or enough in the brake line now.

There was a thread just recently about this..check THIS.

Don't now about 'wrong'...but the system got air into it. Depending on what you did and how you did it, how that happened will vary. Chances are best that you sucked some air past the threads of the bleeder......

Check the listed thread. If you have any further questions, please ask.

It's a sucker gizmo that sucks brake fluid through the system (and air bubbles). you can get them at any good auto parts dealer (good does not mean the ones that make most of their money selling crappy chinamese motor scooters, and distort-o-matic stereos to teenagers). Harbor freight has a similar unit that has a metal vacuum part, I bought one but havent used it yet, so don't know if it works as well as the mighty vac I used.
