Aftermarket gas tank?

Post by SteveWR450f »

About the only complaint I have against my beloved KDX is the shape of the tank. I wish the tank was more flat and easier to get more weight forward on the bike during hillclimbs.

I understand that IMS makes an aftermarket tank. Does anyone else? Clarke? Does anyone have any pictures of the IMS tank? Their website does not show any pictures.

Thanks, Steve

I haven't e-mailed them since to find out if they have them ready.

I'm really interested in how much gas it'll hold.

They finally show it, 3.6 gals.
http://www.clarkemfg.com/cgi-bin/miva?M ... e=kawasaki
Hummmmm I was hope'n they'd get closer to 4 gals. Comes in blk, nat, green, & white.

Stock 2.9,,, 3.6 that should be +/- 90 miles per tank, shouldn't it?

Looks like I'll have a natural one in the near future.

Dear scheckaet,

I'm a owner of a KDX 220 with a IMS gas tank and I love it.

I have a lot of engine mods (VForce 3, Rev Pipe, Bored Carb, etc) and I want to put KX125 fork on my bike.

But, does the IMS gas tank fits the Inverted fork as well as a KDX fork???
