our mounts are going soft on our bikes,

i have done a search and i think that the honda ones fit aswell correct?

and are the stock honda ones better?

Did you find out the yes/no of this question?

I've tried the cones from Scotts. Worthless. NOT the correct size. By the time you tightened the fastener enough to hold the bars at all firmly, the metal caps were tight to the clamp.

So much for isolation.

It would be good to know another route to take (parts-wise).

Kinda apples to oranges here but i've got Honda CRF450 cones in my KX clamps. From what I can remember they fit okay in the H series top clamp that I had on originally.
