Hi. the seller told me this. Good or not? A sleeve??

It is an after market sleeve installed by one of the best two stroke peformance specialist out there. The cylinder is 100% reconditioned and yes the power valve assembly or kips is all there timed and fully functional and the piston is brand new and custom fit for the cylinder. Thank you and happy bidding.

Why wouldn't he tell you who the performance specialist was?

I think it is a good deal, Cost me about $700 US to get my top end reconditioned. And I have a sleeve, some people say there is a problem with the heat transfer issue between the alumininium cylinder and steel sleeve but so far I have experienced no such problems.

Only one problem with a sleeve is that if you need to get new piston and rings you have to rebore and hone the cylinder, unlike the plating that the cylinder had before resleeving where you basically just needed new piston and rings.

Oh and after about 8 years or so youll bore your sleeve so much that you'll need a new one, that didn't bother me cause 8 years is a damn long time.

So providing you dont mind these small probs and the machinist is good i'd say its a damn good buy.

I bought it. This is like new inside. Came with a brand new wisesco piston kit!! I received it this morning.

The seller said the cylinder was sleeved but he did not know what is nicasil or some kind of plating....The job was made by the shop.

I think the cylinder i bought is electroplated or chrome?

How can I confirm?

BTW. A magnet can stick inside..........

Look at all the pics maybe it can help? http://s82.photobucket.com/albums/j259/kdxquebec/cyl/

THANKS PHIL! :supz:
