Question about Asterisk knee braces

Post by wanaride »

I have a pair of Asterisks I have only worn a few times, and since I bought them used from another rider, the L and R were worn off when I got them.

Would someone kindly tell me what side of the leg the snaps are supposed to be on? Do the braces snap closed on the inside of each leg, or on the outside? They will work either way but I know they were designed to fit in ONE way, not both.

Sorry for the dumb question, and thanks for your help!

Usually the fasteners on anything are on the outside, at least on catchers gear or ski / snowboard equipment.

They snap from the outside. Have you had a chance to ride with them yet? Just wondering because the undersleeves or whatever they are called do not stay where they are supposed to. Mine bunched up on me around the back of my knee, combined with my long socks. Very uncomfortable and had chaffing and blisters i'm thinking, because they were fill with clear liquid. Had them behind both knee and on my shin. Long skinny blisters. So now I wear just the brace itself with nothing underneath and didn't have any problems the last timeout. Good Luck

Thanks!

Yes, I've ridden with them a few times and the "skin" does move around. I haven't found a good solution to that. And I know the braces need adjustment because one of them rubs a sore spot on my knee. Hopefully I'll get them sorted out; as much as they cost, I better!

My EVS have the buckles on the outer most side, but the straps secure towards the inner side
