Hi
I own a 1987 KDX200 that has the following spec:-
FMF Fatty
DEP Rear Silecer
Boysen Reeds.
Recent Cylinder reline and Prox Piston, crank rebuilt too.
The original carb looks shot so im considering an upgrade.
Does anyone here have experiece of this?
If so, what carb (and size) would you recommend, and what needle jet configuration too?
Also did you run into any issues with mounting the carb to the standard fixings? And what about the throttle cable too?
Many thanks,
Mike

I would upgrade it to a Kiehin 35mm of E or H series KDX fame. It should work fine with close to our same jetting. Should be able to get one off of eBay for a decent price, same with the throttle assembly.
Measure your from throat to @ss and top to bottom with the cap in place and I will measure mine and give you a spec...
