I am changing from a woods pipe on a 2000 kdx 220 with ported, plated cylinder , milled head, V force reeds, 10oz flywheel weight and 36mm carb, 45 pilot, dem-2 neddle, 158 main, to a desert pipe. 700 ft above sea level 80-85 temps now will get hotter 30 % humidity.
will I need to lean out or richen the jetting?
all the engine and carb work was done by FRP

just installed my desert pipe and Man what a deference, Fredette says not to run the WOODS pipe on a 220 and now I know why.
The bike really comes on the pipe smooth and powerful with the desert pipe
All my jetting problems came to a stop,no more spooge from the kips.
for those reading that have a 220 ditch the woods pipe get a desert pipe.
also I other mods that play an effect are FRP porting, head work, 33mm bored to 36mm, NGKbr8eix plug 45 pilot DEM -2 needle 158 main.

Thats great news krazy!!! Have you tweaked the jetting (main and pilot) with the new pipe to see if they are still spot on?
