My brother just bought a bone stock CRF450R and i was wondering if that has a spark arrester or if i need to get one Thanks

The "R" model comes with "track" exhaust--aka No spark arrestor. All spark arrestor mufflers have USFS Approved stamped on the silencer. Promoto billet makes a replacement spark arrestor end cap that retails for around $134.00.

Anyone checking your bike to see if it's legal to ride in the woods will take a rod and poke it in the exhaust tip. A spark arrestor will have a screen or turbine affair that will not let you poke the rod in very far.
Ride in the woods, get stopped and checked, the rod disappears into the silencer...you go home and/or get a ticket.
Around these parts woods riders that don't have a spark arrestor tend to get shot.
I don't know occifer. He was riding by, then just kind'a fell off!
