Do they make a platinum pipe for the 03 kdx200. Every where I look I can only find the platinum-2. I ordered a Platinum(I thought) off ebay, The guy confirmed it was just a platinum and sent me a platinum-2. I was hoping for more top end power, before I run this pipe, does it drop the top end and just increase the bottom.

Yes, that's intended to be a torque pipe and I thought they still made the regular pipe, but after looking I sure can't find one...

You can get the Pro Circuit platinum for $218 from DennisKirk.com Thats what I run on my KDX and its Great! I've heard its put together better than FMF's. Good welds and Great finish.

I just saw this pipe on ebay express for $208

If you order a PC pipe from anyone, and it's called "platnum"...it'll be the "platnum" for 89-94 or it'll be the "platnum 2" for 95-current.
PC only makes the platnum pipe for the KDX200 '89 to '94. They only make the platnum 2 for the KDX 200/220 '95 to Current. No rev pipe for the modern KDX and no torque pipe for the "classic" KDX.

FMF is the way to go for a Rev pipe.

Hmmn, I can't find the thread now but I could have sworn someone said that the Platinum == rev and Platinum2 == woods for the 95-current KDX. He got it the wrong way round initially and got corrected.

So that was wrong. I'm looking for a FMF rev to go with my new RB carb (1998 KDX220) and assumed a PC Platinum was going to be another option.

PC may have made a Platnum pipe at one time for the KDX. I dunno...I'm way too lazy to do that research. Haven't seen a listing for the Platnum pipe for the last 4 years. If I remember correclty, PC came out with the Platnum II about that long ago.

FMF only makes the Gnarly Desert or Woods pipe for the modern KDX. However, I think they may have made a Fatty at some point...but, it is no longer available either.

Want Rev...FMF Gnarly Desert.

Want Torque...FMF Gnarly Woods or PC Platnum II.

Kawi stopped making the KX5 in '04. It's getting to be a real biatch to find aftermarket support. :? Stuff is still available, but many of the Aftermarket is phasing out thier production and inventory of parts.

PC still has the platinum listed on the web site. My friend just swapped his FMF woods for a PC platinum and it is way better now. I would call PC they have always been helpful for me. 951-738-8050

My friend got his platinum on ebay and it rocks. That sucks they don't have them for the newer bikes, I was thinking about selling my FMF rev and getting the platinum. I guess I will keep an eye on ebay.

Guys

Dynoport is another option for a rev pipe.

I put a dynoport on my bike a few years ago, fit like a glove, no fitment issues whatsoever.

Don't know what other's experience with dynoport pipes is, but I would say I'm completely satisfied.
