Where are your forks in the clamps?

Maybe it's just where it's sitting...but it likes kinda uphill in the front?

Yanno..it is absolutely UNSAFE to ride a bike with different colored rims. Tell Mrs. Jeb you gotta get an Excel rear..........well..assuming that's what the front is. Maybe you just painted it?

Oh well...get an Exel for the front too...'cuz you need a new front tire anyway.............

You know... it's perfect! up here right now. :supz:

That looks really nice, gold and silver rims together is an awesome power enhancer. Didn't you know that? Just slap acouple more stickers on that and you'll be flying like the wind (that is if you aren't already  ).

Yeah, I specifically searched for the gold rim for the power factor . . .

click the link for more details on the fork (the bike is sitting on an uphill during the pics)

Excel 'double stamped' are the ones to get apparently. There is a pretty big difference in lifespan between the ones with one stamp and the ones with two.

Thanks for the link reminder, Jeb. I'd seen part of it..but missed most of it.

Isn't it a wonderment how, after reading about fork swaps, doing it to your own bike, experiencing the difference, writing up a BIG positive post..and then someone asks, 'Is it really worth it? ..really that big a deal?'

Things that make you go, 'HHhhmmmmm...' :hmm:

So.... was it worth the money, effort and time you spent on the conversion? Would you do it again?

Would I do it again . . . YES!! Even if I had to redo the same mistakes - those things that cost more time and money - I'd do it again. Not that I made that many mistakes . . . er, ahem, you know.

Simply put - and more than one has already stated this (or thought it) - Kawasaki screwed up by not bringing the KDX into more recent technology. I'm convinced there'd be as much green as there is orange in the scrambles. And on the fireroads and on the trails.
