Devol front disc guard

Post by jsherm01 »

My bike came with one of these. When I tried to mount the front wheel without it I had clearance problems with the disc on the caliper and the hub to fork leg - too tight! Do these come with a shorter axle collar since the guard itself is quite thick aluminum?

I have no idea..but I'm sure Devol would know.

Devol:

Phone: 360.825.2106 - Fax: 360.825.2663

Email:

customerservice@devolracing.com

They only list one application...so I guess the year of your bike won't matter...unless it's NOT in the application list!

KDX 200/220 1994-2007 KD-0010 Front Disc Guard $57.00

I don't have one..it has a mounting method that looks to include a change to spacer width? It has it's own? Guess that would be the easiest way to mount one of 'em.

Looks like it:

If no one here has the answer hopefully Devol will help you out.

Good luck!

Somewhat BTW..but I gather you want to remove the guard?

Why is that? (another question I have an answer for..but asked in such a way as to illicit information..I'm such a PITA!)

With dimensions, you could get one made without too much trouble or expense.

Although...I'm not sure why it's even a question...:hmm:

You can get the part from RonAyers for less than $7 PN 92027-1959.

DO take a good look (imo) at the parts breakdown to make sure you have every other piece that may have been removed/changed during the guard install...washers and stuff.
