Money. Compare the price of the stock KDX forks to KX forks on ronayers (using buykawasaki.com).

There is no excuse on the piston, though.

re: 'Ack. They don't make them....they don't supply them.'

OK. They HAVE them made to THEIR specifications and SELL them under THEIR name. How's that?

How many parts in a Mustang are actually made by Ford? Not most, I'd bet. It's still called a Ford....even if Ford doesn't make MOST of the parts IN the thing.

Sounds good. Your earlier posts pointed to them as being the supplier to Kawasaki. I am thinking that is not the case. I am not working the loading dock at the Kawasaki factory, so that is just me thinking.

Having just got a ,99 kdx220 i am reading posts for tips etc and obviously the first horror story is the piston. Is this applicable to all 220,s :? And that kickstart is not even funny, does anyone do a replacement that is not monkey metal? Paul.

FRP (Fredette Racing Products) makes a replacement kick starter that is smaller and stronger than the stock KDX kicker. All the 220 pistons have issues. If your bike has not had a top end service done i'd tear her down, clean everything up and replace the piston/rings if they are the originals.
