kdx250, kdx200 - Does anything fit?

Post by 2001kdx »

A buddy of mine is using his '91kdx250 to make a kart, and I wanted to know if any of the rest of his bike has something to offer.

Actually it isn't anything like that, he was recently paralyzed while riding it. So he does not need the bike, just the motor for his kart project. He has kx inverted forks on there, if they would fit i'm sure i could have 'em cheap.

Maybe plastic and cosmetic things like that from the same era. The forks are different, the carb is a 38mm I am pretty certain. That may be something to look into. I think brakes, bars, and the like are the same, but not sure. The KDX 250 was an abortion that lived when it comes to matching parts. I doubt anything would work on yours except maybe the gas cap. May be able to sell the extra parts and buy some for yours though. :kick:

I'll have to ask him what year kx forks he has, which forks fit the "h" models? Is '94 the first year? This is really the only part I wanted. It would be great, because we are the same weight. Maybe when i have my forks off for seals, I'll try it anyway.

Man, i hate to hear about your friend. Its very cool that hes ready to rip in a cart though. I have the same identical bike as he. I would be very interested in the right side radiator if he would be willing to part with it. And possibly other parts. There hard to find for this bike. Thanks

Rick, I'm gonna have to ask him what he is doing with the shell. Everything on the bike is in working order. the kdx250 forks are 43mm and so are mine, so wouldn't the swapped kx forks work in both bikes? I'll talk to him.
