Fatty Input?

Post by 2001kdx »

I'm looking at this pipe here, It an fmf fatty. Fmf has about 61 different names and profiles, and I have them figured out, but does the fatty just give an all around gain, or is it whatever stamped on the tab, meaning it could be a rev or torque pipe without the heavy steel of the gnarly? Here is the pipe:

I don't think you have the right bike for a Fatty

That IS a rev? I'm going to bid on that baby!!! You think $135 will do?
The fatty was made in '95 to '98 and then stopped for the gnarly.

 Yeah $135 sounds perfect... that means I should only have to pay $136  hehehe KIDDING !!!

How can you predict eBay ?!? I saw a set of 2nd hand KTM plastics go for what they retail for BRAND NEW, from a dealer no less !! If its a good price and if he only has ONE, I'd buy now before someone else does.

Yeah trev I don't think 135$ will net that baby. Do you guys think the pipe I linked will not be a big improvement over stock before I fix the dent?
I am also still waiting for the guy to message me back, I wana know what's on that tab.

That should still be a pretty big improvement over stock. The dent is normally only an issie when it is in the header section. It has been reported that some small dents in the 'right' place can increase power. If you have a chest freezer big enough to fit the pipe in you can fix that yourself.
